Commercially canned and pouched food may be safely stored for several years as long as the container is not bulged, damaged or leaking in any manner. A concern with prolonged periods of storage is that the product begins to lose some if its palatability. We recommend that stocks of canned or pouched goods be rotated in your normal food supply so that none is stored much longer than a year prior to consumption.
Each item can vary so we recommend always following the “best by” date found on the package, as long as the container is not bulged or leaking in any matter.
For storage after opening, any remaining product should be placed in an air-tight container or food storage bag, and immediately refrigerated. The product should be consumed within 2-3 days after opening and storing in the refrigerator or refrigerated conditions (35-40°F). After 2-3 days, we do not recommend consuming the product as it may have begun to spoil. Our product may also be frozen in an air-tight container or freezer bag. However, we do not recommend freezing the product as freezing may greatly impact its taste and quality. Should you freeze the product, please do not freeze the product in the can, pouch, or cup it was purchased in as doing so will greatly impact its quality.
