For all unopened pouches, there is no need to refrigerate as the product is vacuum-sealed and commercially sterile.
Sealed pouches are retorted (cooked) under pressure utilizing process time and temperature schedules designed by processing experts to render the product commercially sterile. Commercial sterility extend product shelf-life and the product will remain shelf-stable as long as the container is intact.
For storage after opening, any remaining product should be placed in an air-tight container or food storage bag, and immediately refrigerated. The product should be consumed within 2-3 days after opening and storing in the refrigerator or refrigerated conditions (35-40°F). After 2-3 days, we do not recommend consuming the product as it may have begun to spoil. Our product may also be frozen in an air-tight container or freezer bag. However, we do not recommend freezing the product as freezing may greatly impact its taste and quality. Should you freeze the product, please do not freeze the product in the can, pouch, or cup it was purchased in as doing so will greatly impact its quality.
